West Point Soccer Club

Become a part of the family!

West Point Soccer Club is proudly run by volunteers, and we’re always looking for passionate, community-minded people to join our team. Whether you have a little time or a lot, there’s a role for everyone and every bit of help makes a big difference.

There are so many ways to get involved and these are just a few:

Coach or Assistant Coach – Support the development of players across all age groups

Team Manager – Be the go-to organiser for one of our teams

Game Day Official/Linesman – Help out when teams don’t have an allocated Referee/Linesman

Canteen Helper – Assist during game days by serving snacks and drinks

Set-up/Clean-up Crew – Lend a hand preparing and packing up the pitch

Events Volunteer – Help run family days, BBQs, fundraisers, or special club events

Join the Committee – Help shape the future of the club through planning, leadership, and organisation

Volunteering is a great way to support your child, meet new people, and become part of the vibrant community behind the game. Whether you’re a seasoned sports volunteer or completely new, we’ll welcome you with open arms.

We deeply value the time, energy, and commitment of our volunteers. To recognise their contribution, we proudly offer a range of awards and appreciation initiatives. These include certificates of appreciation, special acknowledgments such as Volunteer of the Month, and other forms of recognition that highlight individual efforts and celebrate the incredible work done behind the scenes.

We also believe in the power of public acknowledgment. Whether it’s a shout-out on social media, a feature in the club newsletter, or a special mention at club events.

Celebrating our volunteers in front of the wider community not only boosts morale but also fosters a culture of appreciation and encourages others to get involved.

To show our thanks in more tangible ways, we offer practical benefits such as vouchers for local businesses or club merchandise, complimentary meals at events, and sometimes even cover registration fees for the children of volunteers.

We also provide opportunities for personal and professional development, such as access to coaching courses, first aid training, and networking with industry professionals offering value that extends beyond the club.

Ultimately, our goal is to build a supportive and welcoming volunteer culture. That means offering genuine, regular thank-yous, personalising recognition to suit each individual’s efforts, hosting volunteer appreciation events, and keeping communication open and transparent.

When our volunteers feel appreciated, prepared, and part of the team, the whole club thrives.
